Spring is underway in Napa Valley.
The vineyards are quickly moving this year. After a winter of sufficient rainfall, a warm stretch in February and March brought on budbreak across the estates a month earlier than last year. It’s still early in the season, one that always carries both energy and uncertainty. There’s still much ahead, and as always, the vintage unfolds on its own terms.
In the cellar, we’ve just finished racking the 2025 reds and are preparing for bottling. This work marks a quiet transition point as we move from one vintage to the next, while keeping a close eye on what’s beginning again in the vineyard.
The early part of the year has also taken me on the road. I’ve had the chance to reconnect with longtime members of our community and to meet many of you for the first time. One of the highlights was hosting our first virtual tasting, an experience we look forward to building on. We’ll be sharing details for the next one soon.
Thank you for following along and for being part of what we’re building here.
