This past year marked a significant milestone for my family. After years of effort reinvesting in vineyards and elevating our winemaking with Atelier Melka, we introduced Gamble Estates. We also welcomed guests to new experiences at the winery and shared our wines with you at gatherings in Houston, Dallas, Naples, Washington D.C., New York, Philadelphia and beyond.
The response from critics is gratifying, with an unprecedented number of scores at 95 points and above. Just as gratifying, alongside 20 other inspiring innovators selected from across the nation, I was honored to receive the Hydro20 award for our water conservation work. I was also nominated by my vintner peers and elected to the Napa Valley Vintners Board of Directors, where I will continue advocating for land, community, and the industry that has evolved with my family for over a century. While I gain a brief spotlight, these moments are not possible without all the good people around me. Including you. Your belief in Gamble has made this chapter possible. Thank you for being part of it.
The year ahead brings more to share. In late February, club members will be the first to receive our 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon wines from Rutherford, Mount Veeder, and Oakville. Before release, we’re offering a new preview program, where 50ml samples can be shipped to your door so you can experience the wines at home and join us for a virtual tasting. More details will follow in the coming weeks. We’ll also be at several events across the country and hope to see you at one.
